Testimonial Tuesday | Darren Aduddell is a top finisher in 25 Week Challenge | Fit First Responders

Darren Aduddell is a 51 year old Firefighter with the Catoosa Fire Department.

The 25 week Fit First Responders Challenge was a HUGE commitment and took dedication and focus for Darren to finish!

Darren shares comparing then to now: “I prepare my meals and always travel with food, instead of always eating out. Somebody asked me what I was looking forward to the most and my answer was turning off my food alarms and not having to do a food log. I would walk through the grocery store saying  “I can’t wait to eat an everything bagel and a box of Triscuits and OH MAN…peanut butter and banana sandwiches”. My first thought was to over do everything, but as I thought about it more, I realized that my habits have changed. If I eat like a normal person, I’ll look like a normal person. I could lose all the definition that I’ve worked so hard for, within a week or two. My body fat percentage went down and I gained lots of muscle and vascularity. I don’t want to sacrifice that, so I’ll keep doing what I’ve been doing.

Darren shares his story:

Coach Isaac said about the exercise, “It doesn’t get easier, you just get better”. Darren believes that. He is very thankful that he had what it took to show up.  He explains, “I worked through the “I don’t wanna’”. Some days, that was the hardest thing. I made a lot of new friends and I’m very thankful for those who showed up to motivate me, push me to WIN ALL DAY and be my very best. I work with trainers, chiropractors and nutritionists that have taught me how my body works and what I can do to be beneficial to it.”

Now every time Darren goes to the gym, he says, “I’m making a deposit, so I check my balance, and it makes me smile and appreciate all the hard work that I’ve put in. I did this program for the guys on my shift at the fire station, my wife and my four daughters. I truly believe in the FFR program.”

Daren finally found the program that works best for him and PRODUCES RESULTS!!! He adds, “I’m blessed and highly favored for being a member of Fit First Responders.”
