LET IT GO!

 

This week in the FIT FIRST RESPONDER Book – CHAPTER 15,  Coach JC inspires and motivates you to LET IT GO! Any and everything that has held you back in your past, LET IT GO!

YOU have a past, WE ALL have a past. Your past can be your worst enemy or your biggest ally. You can allow your past to haunt you and to hold you back from SUCCESS. You make the CHOICE!

We have seen and heard many first responders who cannot let the past go, and they have allowed the past determine their future. We all have situations in our lives that have caused us to be discouraged and develop attitudes of, “it’s not worth it” or “what’s the point in trying anymore?”

WHY ARE WE ALLOWING WHAT IS NOW OUT OF OUR CONTROL CONTROL US?

You may have failed in a relationship, you may not have been the best on that call on duty, you may have made a mistake, you may have been wronged by someone else, you may have been neglected in your childhood…  NO MORE, LET IT GO!

Remember this, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU DOES NOT DEFINE YOU! What happened to you happened for you, TO MAKE YOU STRONGER, BETTER, WISER, and TOUGHER!

So, now let’s talk about ACTION STEPS to overcome what’s been holding you back!

Ask yourself:

  1. What past situation or situation have been holding me back?
  2. What have I learned about myself from my past?
  3. What do you NEED to LET GO today to move forward?

I choose today to allow the past to be the past. I am in complete control and will use past failures to create future successes in my life.
